You'll implement actual care plans with real structure, use behaviour strategies that work because they're tailored to each young person, and you'll see the connection between what you do on a Tuesday and what's possible six months from now. What you will be doing
- Provide consistent, compassionate care and emotional support that helps young people feel safe enough to open up and grow
- Build and maintain positive relationships whilst implementing clear boundaries, behaviour strategies, and safeguarding procedures that actually protect
- Work from individual care plans, managing day-to-day support in a way that promotes independence and personal development
- Encourage and facilitate the young people's involvement in education, activities, hobbies, and community life
- Keep thorough, accurate records and contribute meaningfully to team meetings and formal care reviews

- You've got at least one year of real experience working in a residential childcare setting - you know what this work actually demands
- You're willing and able to work towards your Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce; you see training as part of getting better at the job, not just a box to tick
- You're genuinely compassionate but also resilient - you can care deeply without burning out, and you bounce back when things get tough
- You're organised enough to keep records straight and communicate clearly with the team, because good care depends on everyone knowing what's happening
