Most care jobs ask you to do brilliant work on a shoestring, then wonder why you leave. This one is different: a permanent, full-time role where you'll earn up to £36,088, get proper training, and work alongside a team that genuinely invests in your growth. If you've got the heart to change young people's lives and the resilience to do it well, read on

You'll be working in a children's residential home where your job is simple but profound: create safety, stability and belonging for young people aged up to 18 who need it most. Every shift matters. Whether you're helping someone through a tough morning, supporting them with education, or just being the steady adult in the room, you're reaching out and changing lives. That's not a slogan here - it's what's actually happening

The home operates on a rolling rota (shifts run 08:00 to 23:00, with sleep-ins required), which means you get real variety in your week and genuine flexibility in how you plan your life around the work. Sleep-in shifts come with built-in pay of £65, so you're earning while you rest. With 224 hours of annual leave, bank holidays at double pay, and a 3% employer pension contribution, this role treats you like a professional, not a volunteer

Training isn't an afterthought: the provider funds a Level 4 Apprenticeship for all staff and runs therapeutic training as standard, so you'll develop genuine expertise in supporting complex young people. You'll have a Registered Manager and Deputy Manager to guide you, clear professional standards to work to, and a team culture built on recognition - there are monthly awards, an employee wellbeing service, and a referral programme worth up to £500 if you bring in colleagues. This is a place where you can actually build a career

  • 224 hours annual leave plus bank holidays at double pay, so your time off actually feels like time off
  • Funded Level 4 Apprenticeship and therapeutic training for all staff, so you build real expertise and career options
