Most care jobs feel like you're running on a treadmill: low pay, zero support, and the constant feeling that no one values what you actually do. This role is different. We're looking for someone ready to step into a role where your work genuinely changes young people's lives, where your effort is recognised in your pay packet, and where the team around you has your back

Picture this: you're working in a children's residential home where the young people you support are finally starting to trust again, to open up, to believe in themselves. That's the work you'll be doing here. Every shift matters. Every conversation counts. You're not just managing tasks; you're rebuilding confidence, creating stability, and showing these young people what real consistency and care looks like

The team here isn't made up of burnt-out staff counting down the days. These are people who chose this work because they believe in it, and they genuinely support each other. You'll have proper induction training that actually prepares you, not just a quick handover. You'll get access to ongoing development so you can grow in the role, and you'll earn qualifications like NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care while you work, not on your own time and dime

This isn't a place where care workers are an afterthought. You'll see that in the pay, which sits above what you'd get elsewhere. You'll see it in the paid mileage when you're out supporting young people. You'll see it in the holiday entitlement, the pension scheme, and the enhanced bank holiday rates. You'll see it in the access to an employee support line when you need someone in your corner

What you will be doing

  • Support young people with personal care: washing, dressing, and all the daily routines that build dignity and independence
  • Help with meal preparation and shopping, teaching and encouraging wherever possible
  • Prompt and support with medication as needed, keeping careful records
  • Be present for socialising, leisure activities, and community access so young people can build real lives outside the home
  • Work flexibly across full-time and part-time shifts, including waking nights and sleep-ins where the rota requires

Why you will love working here

  • Pay that sits above the industry standard, because we know what you're worth
  • Flexible hours: full-time, part-time, whatever works for you, plus paid mileage
  • NVQ Level 2 and 3 Health and Social Care qualifications earned on the job, no cost to you
  • Proper induction, ongoing development, holiday pay, pension scheme, and enhanced bank holiday rates
  • Access to an employee support line so you're never alone when things get tough

Is this you?

  • Is this you: someone with a genuine caring approach and real patience, who can relate to young people and make them feel heard
  • You communicate clearly, you're consistent in how you show up, and you have a sense of humour that helps in tough moments
  • You've got basic English and ideally some domiciliary or residential support experience, but we're genuinely open to training the right person with no experience
  • You're reliable, punctual, and ready to commit to young people who've often been let down before
  • You're eligible to work in the UK and willing to go through enhanced DBS clearance

Applications close on 12 October 2026. Great roles like this are filled quickly, so the sooner you apply the better.
