You'll be working a proper 2 on 4 off rota in supported accommodation for young people aged 16 - 25 who've been let down by the system and need someone who actually gives a damn to help them rebuild their lives
Picture this: you're the consistent adult in a young person's week. The one they trust because you show up, you listen, and you help them see a future beyond the trauma and chaos they've known. That's your day-to-day here. You're not a cog in a machine; you're a key worker, building the kind of relationships that genuinely change trajectories
The home you'll join is part of a provider with 17 homes across the North West, West Midlands and North Wales. Half of them are rated Outstanding by Ofsted. That's not fluff. Your role spans the full spectrum: you'll support young people in daily routines, help them access training and employment, coach them through emotional challenges, champion their independence and contribute to care plans that actually move the needle. Sleep-ins mean you're holding the line when nights get hard. It's responsible, meaningful work for people ready to grow into it
What you will be doing
- Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with young people aged 16 - 25 and act as their key worker, supporting them towards their personal goals
- Support daily routines, activities and personal development whilst promoting emotional wellbeing, education and independence
- Help young people access community, employment and training opportunities - being the bridge between them and their future
- Contribute to care plans, reviews and documentation; uphold safeguarding responsibilities and report concerns with clarity and integrity
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety within the home; work flexibly across the 2 on 4 off rota including sleep-ins and weekend shifts

Is this you?
- You can build genuine relationships with young people and professionals alike; you're calm and resilient when situations get challenging
- You're confident with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and can handle paperwork without losing sight of the people
- You've got a full UK Driving Licence and can work the flexible shift pattern, including sleep-ins, weekends and lone working
- You're a strong role model with real honesty and integrity; you're committed to your own development and learning on the job
- Desirably, you've got previous experience working with children or vulnerable people, knowledge of safeguarding procedures, or understanding of trauma-informed practice. A Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification is a bonus but willingness to work towards one counts
