What you will be doing
- Provide safe, child-centred care in line with individual care plans, supporting daily routines, education, health appointments, and activities
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children using trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to encourage resilience and emotional wellbeing
- Transport young people to appointments, education, and recreational activities as needed (you'll need a full UK driving licence and access to a business-insured vehicle)
- Maintain accurate daily records and incident reports, and work collaboratively with colleagues, families, social workers, and other professionals
- Contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and genuinely homely environment where children feel valued

Is this you?
- Is this you: you've worked with children in residential or social care, and you understand what safeguarding and child protection actually mean day-to-day
- You stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and work well both independently and as part of a team
- You're computer literate and comfortable with recording care and administrative tasks accurately
- You have a full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle insured for business use, and the legal right to work in the UK
- You're willing and able to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, waking nights, bank holidays, and sleep-ins as the service requires
