Most care jobs feel like you're running on a treadmill: low pay, minimal training, a team that's stretched too thin. This one is different. We're looking for someone who genuinely wants to support residents to live with dignity and independence, and we're prepared to invest in you properly - with real training, real pay rises, and a team that actually has your back

Picture yourself arriving for a night shift knowing exactly what you're walking into. You've got proper handover notes in the electronic care planning system. You know each resident's individual needs and their story. You're not just ticking boxes - you're building real relationships, supporting someone to maintain their hobbies, their social connections, their sense of who they are. That's what this role is

The home operates on a simple belief: people caring for people. It sounds soft, but it changes everything about how you work. You're part of a dedicated care team where compassion isn't something you perform for inspections - it's the actual culture. You'll get comprehensive in-house training through the e-learning platform, annual SSSC registration paid for, and fully funded apprenticeship opportunities if you want to grow into something bigger

Night shifts run 8pm to 8am, so you know your rota. Full-time and part-time contracts from 22 to 44 hours per week, plus bank work if you want flexibility. 28 days annual leave including bank holidays. Free on-site parking. An Employee Assistance Programme for your own mental health and wellbeing - because they get that this work is emotionally demanding and you matter too

What you will be doing

  • Provide high-quality personal care and genuine emotional support to residents, maintaining their dignity and independence
  • Build positive relationships and create meaningful experiences - encouraging residents to pursue their interests and stay connected to what matters to them
  • Support residents with daily activities and individual needs, adapting your approach to each person
  • Maintain accurate records using the electronic care planning system, so the whole team stays informed and coordinated
  • Work collaboratively within the care team, bringing kindness and professionalism to everything you do

Why you will love working here

  • £13.45 per hour, with annual salary reviews so your pay grows as you do
  • Flexible contracts: 22, 33, or 44 hours per week, night shifts available, plus bank work if you want it
  • 28 days annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata if part-time), company pension, life insurance, and free on-site parking
  • Comprehensive training through Your Hippo e-learning platform, fully funded apprenticeship opportunities, and annual SSSC registration fees paid
  • Wagestream access to earned wages before payday, an Employee Assistance Programme for your own health and mental wellbeing, and a refer-a-friend scheme worth up to £750 per successful referral

Is this you?

  • You're enthusiastic about genuinely supporting people - not just going through the motions
  • You've got real empathy, respect for others, and communication skills that help people feel heard
  • You're organised, able to juggle multiple tasks, and can work both independently and as part of a team
  • You already have care experience, or you're willing to learn - either way, full training and ongoing support will be provided
  • You have the right to work in the UK (this provider cannot sponsor visas)
