Most care jobs feel like you're just clocking in and clocking out, with little support and even less room to grow. This one is different. We're looking for someone who genuinely wants to build real relationships with the young people in our home and make a measurable difference to their lives - and we'll back you up with proper training, a stable rota, and a team that actually has your back

Picture yourself walking into work knowing exactly what your day holds, but ready for anything. You help a young person plan their morning, support them through breakfast, maybe help them practise budgeting or cooking. You're not just going through the motions - you're building trust, celebrating small wins, and being the reliable adult they need. That's the rhythm of a day here

What makes this different is the team around you. You're not on your own trying to figure it out. There's genuine collaboration, open communication, and people who show up with the same commitment you do. You'll have access to proper training and real career progression, so after months of getting to know the young people and proving yourself, you're not stuck in the same place - you're growing

The home operates with structured rotas and genuine flexibility, so you get predictability but also the chance to pick up extra hours if you want them. Add in life insurance that covers 2 times your salary, 24/7 access to a virtual GP and mental health support through our wellbeing app, and an employee assistance programme that actually helps when things get tough. This is a workplace that invests in the people who invest in the young people

What you will be doing

  • Support young people with daily routines - helping them plan their day, prepare meals, and manage personal care with dignity and patience
  • Teach and practise life skills like cooking, budgeting, and household management, building confidence and independence
  • Join in with hobbies, outings and leisure activities, building real relationships and showing up as a trusted presence
  • Work closely with your team to communicate progress, share concerns, and make decisions that genuinely improve the lives of the young people you support
  • Attend appointments and support young people through key moments, offering encouragement and stability

Why you will love working here

  • Life insurance worth 2 times your salary - real financial security for you and the people who matter
  • 24/7 access to virtual GP appointments, mental health support, and nutrition advice through our wellbeing platform, plus an employee assistance programme with mental health resources and lifestyle support
  • A structured rota with flexibility to take on extra hours when you want them - predictability without being trapped
  • Clear progression pathways and ongoing training to help you grow into the role and build a real career in residential care
  • Recognition and rewards for your achievements, plus a £500 refer-a-friend bonus if you recommend someone great who joins the team

Is this you?

  • Are you kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping others - not because it sounds good, but because you mean it?
  • Can you show up reliably every day with purpose, even when the work is hard or repetitive?
  • Are you a good communicator who actually enjoys working as part of a team and learning from others?
  • Are you open to learning and willing to grow? No experience needed - just the right attitude and a willingness to develop your skills through structured training
  • Do you hold a full, valid UK driving licence? You'll need it for this role
