Most care jobs feel like you're just going through the motions - showing up, clocking out, never quite believing you're making a real difference. This isn't one of them. We're looking for someone kind and reliable who genuinely wants to build real relationships with the young people we support, in a team that actually invests in your growth and shows up for you the way you show up for them
Every day here looks different, which is exactly why it matters. You might help someone plan their morning, support them through a meal they've cooked themselves, join in with hobbies they actually enjoy, or simply sit with them and listen. These aren't tasks to tick off - they're moments where you become a trusted presence in someone's life, and you'll feel that trust build week by week
You won't be doing this alone. You'll work closely with a team that communicates openly, shares the load, and genuinely has each other's backs. There's no ego here, just people committed to the same thing: supporting young people to grow and thrive. That kind of team changes how work feels
We believe in taking care of the people who care for others, which is why we've built a benefits package that actually protects your future and your wellbeing. Life insurance at 2x your salary, 24/7 access to virtual GP appointments and mental health support, a structured rota with real flexibility for overtime, and a clear path to develop your skills and progress your career. You're not just filling a shift - you're building something
What you will be doing
- Support young people with daily living - planning their days, preparing meals, and helping with appointments
- Work alongside residents on life skills like cooking and budgeting, tailored to their individual needs and goals
- Build and maintain genuine relationships, celebrating progress and being a consistent, trusted presence
- Communicate openly with the team and make day-to-day decisions that genuinely matter to the people you support
- Engage in hobbies, activities, and time together that the young people enjoy - because relationships are built in those moments
Why you will love working here
- Life insurance worth 2x your salary - genuine financial protection for you and the people you care about
- 24/7 access to virtual GP appointments, mental health support, and nutrition advice through our Smart Health service, whenever you need it
- A structured rota with flexibility to take on overtime hours when it suits you, plus an Employee Assistance Programme with wellbeing resources on the Wisdom App
- Real training and career development with clear progression pathways, so you can grow and develop your skills over time
- A £500 refer-a-friend bonus when someone you recommend joins the team - and a community that genuinely celebrates your achievements
Is this you?
- Are you kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping others? That matters more than a certificate on the wall
- Can you show up reliably, ready to do what needs doing with purpose and care, even on the harder days?
- Do you communicate well and actually enjoy working as part of a team - not just tolerating colleagues, but wanting to collaborate?
- Are you open to learning and development? No experience needed - just the right attitude and a willingness to grow
- Do you have a valid UK driving licence and access to reliable transport? (Desirable, depending on the role requirements)
