Most care jobs feel transactional: you show up, you clock out, nobody really knows your name. This is different. We're looking for a man who wants to build real relationships with the young people he supports, work with a team that actually has your back, and grow into a role where every day genuinely matters. If you're kind, reliable, and ready to show up with purpose, this could be the job that changes how you see yourself

Picture your week: Monday morning you're helping someone plan their day and prepare breakfast together. By Wednesday afternoon you're supporting them with life skills like cooking or budgeting, laughing together over a shared hobby or a walk around the neighbourhood. You're the trusted presence in their life - the person they see, who sees them back. This is the real work of residential care: not task management, but building human connection that shifts someone's world

You'll be part of a team that leads with empathy and works collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes. Your voice matters here. You'll communicate openly with colleagues who genuinely support each other, and you'll make decisions that truly impact the young people you work with. This isn't a job where you're left to figure it out alone - you're backed by training, clear progression pathways, and people who believe in your development

The home is built on three things: Commitment, Compassion, and Collaboration. That means they invest in you because they know that care workers who feel valued deliver better support. You'll get structured rota patterns with overtime opportunities when you want them, career development that goes somewhere, and a genuine commitment to your wellbeing alongside the wellbeing of those you support

What you will be doing

  • Support young people with daily living tasks - breakfast, appointments, personal care - and be present in those moments where real connection happens
  • Help develop and support life skills: cooking, budgeting, managing routines, building independence
  • Join in with hobbies, activities and community engagement - whether that's sports, creative projects, or simply spending time together
  • Work as part of a collaborative team, communicating openly with colleagues and contributing to decisions that shape the young people's care and progress
  • Build trusted relationships with the young people you support, celebrate their achievements, and be a consistent, reliable presence in their lives

Why you will love working here

  • 30-hour day shifts with a structured rota you can rely on, plus flexibility to take overtime when it suits you
  • Life Insurance worth 2x your salary, giving you genuine peace of mind for you and your loved ones
  • 24/7 access to virtual GP appointments, mental health support and nutrition advice through our health platform
  • Clear career progression pathways and ongoing training to help you grow in the role and move forward professionally
  • Employee Assistance Programme with mental health resources, lifestyle support and workplace wellbeing - because we take care of the people who care for others

Is this you?

  • Are you kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping others? No experience needed - the right attitude matters far more
  • Are you reliable and ready to show up with purpose every day, even when the work is challenging or emotionally demanding?
  • Do you communicate well and genuinely enjoy working as part of a team rather than in isolation?
  • Are you open to learning and willing to develop your skills through training and ongoing support?
  • Please note: due to the nature of this role and the needs of the young people we support, this position is open to male candidates only
