What you will be doing
- Build genuine relationships with young people, creating an environment where they feel safe enough to be honest about their struggles and their progress
- Provide active emotional support and guidance, helping individuals work through challenging behaviours and develop better coping strategies
- Work with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement and review individualised care plans that meet each young person's unique needs
- Engage young people in educational, recreational and developmental activities that build confidence, skills and a sense of achievement
- Keep accurate, detailed records of progress, incidents and observations that inform the team's understanding and shape future support
- Maintain a safe, inclusive living environment where everyone's physical and emotional well-being is genuinely prioritised

- Is this you: you've got hands-on experience working with children and young people, especially those dealing with behavioural challenges?
- You hold at least a high school diploma, and ideally relevant qualifications or certifications in care, youth work or a related field
- You're genuinely committed to your own ongoing learning and professional development; you see this role as the start of something, not a dead-end job
- You've got strong communication skills, real empathy for young people in difficult situations, and the ability to stay calm and think clearly when things get tense
- You're physically and emotionally resilient. This work demands presence and energy, and you know how to look after yourself so you can show up for others
