Most care jobs feel like you're just clocking in and clocking out, doing the same shifts with a team that barely knows your name. This one is different. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys getting out, cooking together, going for bike rides and putting on a disco - because that's what the young people here love, and that's what makes the real difference
Picture yourself arriving at the home knowing exactly what matters today. One morning you're helping plan the day ahead over breakfast, the next you're out on a bike ride, then supporting someone through a cooking project they've been excited about all week. You're not just ticking boxes - you're building real relationships with young people who need a steady, caring presence they can rely on
You'll work with a team that actually has your back. Collaboration isn't a buzzword here - it's how things work. You communicate openly, make decisions that matter, and celebrate when young people hit their milestones. The home invests in people like you with structured training and clear pathways to grow, so whether you're brand new to care or bringing experience, there's genuinely somewhere to go
This provider believes in taking care of the people who care for others. That means real support: mental health access via their wellbeing app, a consistent rota you can plan around, genuine overtime opportunities if you want them, and benefits that actually protect you and your family - including life insurance worth 2x your salary
What you will be doing
- Support young people with their daily routines - helping them plan their day, prepare meals, and get ready for appointments
- Run activities and hobbies that the young people enjoy: cooking projects, bike rides, discos, and days out
- Teach and support life skills like budgeting, cooking, and independence skills
- Build genuine relationships with the young people you support and be a trusted, reliable presence in their lives
- Work as part of a supportive team, communicating openly and collaborating on what's best for each young person
Why you will love working here
- Life insurance worth 2x your salary - real financial security for you and your loved ones
- 24/7 access to virtual GP appointments, mental health support and nutrition advice through the provider's health service
- A wellbeing app (Wisdom) loaded with mental health resources and lifestyle support, available whenever you need it
- A structured rota with flexibility to pick up extra hours if you want them, so you can plan your life around work
- Training and career development that actually leads somewhere - clear pathways to grow if you want to progress
- £500 refer-a-friend bonus when someone you recommend joins the team
- Working for a provider that celebrates diversity and genuinely commits to making you feel valued
Is this you?
- You're genuinely kind and patient - you actually enjoy spending time with young people and helping them progress
- You're reliable and show up ready to do the job with purpose, every single day
- You're a good communicator who works well as part of a team and isn't afraid to speak up or ask questions
- You're willing to learn - no experience is needed, just the right attitude and a real desire to make a difference
- You have a driving licence (essential for this role, as you'll need to support young people with activities out in the community)
- You're female (this role has a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010)
