Most care jobs feel like you're just clocking in, following a script, and hoping someone notices the difference you're making. This role is the opposite: you'll build real relationships with the young people you support, work in a team that actually has your back, and grow your skills in an environment built on genuine compassion. If you're ready to do work that matters - and work somewhere that values you - keep reading

Picture this: you arrive for your shift, and one of the young people asks you to help them plan their day. You're not just ticking boxes; you're genuinely shaping how someone experiences their morning. Maybe you're cooking breakfast together, listening to what matters to them, or supporting them through a tricky conversation. These aren't small moments - they're the kind of interactions that change lives, and they happen every single day here

The team around you actually gets it. You're not isolated or firefighting constantly; you're part of a close-knit group that communicates openly, supports each other, and makes decisions together. Training and development aren't buzzwords - there's a real progression pathway, and the service invests in helping you grow. Whether you're brand new to care or bringing years of experience, you'll have the tools and backing to do your best work

The shift pattern is genuinely flexible - including weekends and sleep-ins when you need them - so you can build a rota that fits your life, not the other way around. And the benefits go way beyond the basics: 2x salary life insurance, 24/7 virtual GP access, mental health support, and a structured schedule that respects your time. Even a £500 refer-a-friend bonus if you know someone brilliant who should join too

What you will be doing

  • Support young people with daily living skills - cooking, budgeting, personal care, and building confidence in real-world tasks
  • Build meaningful relationships through one-to-one time: chatting, going for walks, supporting hobbies and interests, and being a steady, trusted presence
  • Help with planning and attending appointments, managing transitions, and celebrating progress with the young people you support
  • Work as part of a collaborative team, communicating openly about what works and what doesn't, and contributing to decisions that affect the people in your care
  • Contribute to a safe, welcoming home environment where young people feel genuinely cared for and supported to thrive

Why you will love working here

  • Life Insurance worth 2x your salary - genuine financial peace of mind for you and your loved ones
  • 24/7 access to Smart Health: virtual GP appointments, mental health support, and nutrition advice whenever you need it
  • A structured rota with real flexibility to include weekends and sleep-ins, plus overtime opportunities when you want extra hours
  • Clear training and progression pathways so you can grow your skills and move forward in your career
  • A £500 refer-a-friend bonus when you recommend someone brilliant who joins the team

Is this you?

  • You're kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping young people - whether you've done this before or you're coming in fresh with the right attitude
  • You're reliable and ready to show up with purpose, even when shifts are unsociable (weekends and sleep-ins included)
  • You're a strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team and values openness and collaboration
  • You're open to learning and developing - we'll give you full training, so no prior experience is necessary if your heart's in the right place
  • You have a driving licence (essential for this role) and the flexibility to work the hours the service needs
