Most care jobs feel transactional: clock in, follow the tasks, clock out. This isn't one of them. We're looking for someone who actually wants to build real relationships with the young people they support, work with a team that has your back, and grow into a role that genuinely matters. If you're kind, reliable, and ready to show up with purpose every day, this could be exactly what you've been looking for

Picture a day where you're helping someone plan their morning, supporting them with breakfast, maybe attending an important appointment together. Afternoon might bring life skills work like cooking or budgeting, or simply a walk and a chat that builds real trust. Every shift is different because every young person is different, and your presence makes a tangible difference in their progress and wellbeing

You'll be part of a team that genuinely collaborates and communicates openly, where decisions you make actually matter. The people here lead with empathy, show up with commitment, and work together to achieve the best outcomes. This isn't a workplace where you're just a number; you're valued as someone who contributes to real change in young people's lives

Whether you're new to residential care or bringing years of experience, the service invests in your development. You'll receive full training and ongoing support to grow, with clear progression pathways and recognition schemes that celebrate your achievements. This is a place built on the belief that taking care of the people who care for others is fundamental

What you will be doing

  • Support young people with daily living activities including meal preparation, personal care, and planning their day
  • Work with life skills development such as cooking, budgeting, and building independence
  • Join in with hobbies and activities, and provide consistent companionship through everyday moments like walks and conversations
  • Build trusted relationships with the young people you support, celebrating their progress and being a stable presence
  • Work closely with your team, communicating openly and collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for each individual

Why you will love working here

  • Structured rota with flexibility to take on overtime opportunities when you want extra hours and extra income
  • Life insurance worth 2x your salary, plus 24/7 access to virtual GP appointments, mental health support, and nutrition advice through our health platform
  • Employee Assistance Programme via the Wisdom app, giving you mental health resources and lifestyle support whenever you need it
  • Full training and clear progression pathways to develop your career, with recognition and reward schemes to celebrate your achievements
  • £500 refer-a-friend bonus when you recommend someone great to join the team

Is this you?

  • Are you kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping young people? No experience needed, just the right attitude
  • Are you reliable and ready to show up with purpose every day, even when shifts bring unpredictable challenges?
  • Do you communicate well and enjoy working as part of a supportive team rather than in isolation?
  • Are you open to learning, with a willingness to develop your skills and grow within the role?
  • Can you build authentic relationships and celebrate the small but significant progress of the young people in your care?
