Most care jobs feel like you're just getting by on a low wage and irregular shifts. This role is different: you'll earn £13.25 per hour, work a predictable rota with 11 sleep-ins built in, and join a team that actually invests in your growth from day one

You'll be the steady, trusting presence in young people's lives when they need it most. Building real relationships, setting firm and fair boundaries, and watching them develop strength they didn't know they had - that's the work that matters here. Every day you'll help them move forward, whether it's through developing new interests, managing their behaviour, or simply knowing someone believes in them

This home runs 24/7, 365 days a year, which means you're part of a real team that keeps going. You'll attend care reviews, work alongside social workers and specialists, mentor newer staff, and have your voice heard in team meetings. Your observations and insights directly shape how each young person's care plan develops and improves

The organisation is serious about your future. You'll work towards your Diploma level 4 qualification with training costs covered, progress up a clear pay scale, and step into senior or management roles when you're ready. With 28 days of annual leave, pension enrolment, and a full programme of professional development built into your working life, this is a career, not just a job

What you will be doing

  • Provide day-to-day care that meets each young person's physical, emotional and social needs, creating a safe and accepting home environment

  • Handle administrative tasks including incident reports, progress notes and financial records; maintain accurate Young Person files in line with policy
  • Support colleagues in team meetings, inductions and supervision; share knowledge and help develop new approaches to care practice
