Most care leadership roles leave you firefighting, unsupported and trapped in the same place for years. This is different: a permanent Registered Manager post in a growing organisation that actually invests in their leaders, listens to them, and gives you the autonomy and training to build something truly excellent. If you have level 3 or 4 childcare qualifications and the emotional resilience to lead a team through complex challenges while keeping young people at the heart of everything, this could be the role that defines your career
You'll be leading a residential team in Somerset, caring for children and young people with complex needs. This isn't about managing paperwork or ticking boxes; it's about creating a home environment that genuinely exceeds what these young people need, where they feel safe enough to be themselves and actually thrive. Your leadership sets the tone for the whole place, and when staff are supported and confident, the young people flourish
The provider has modern ways of thinking and a genuine commitment to staff retention and development. They're ambitious and growing, which means there's real room for your ideas and leadership to shape how things work. You won't be fighting the system; you'll be part of building something better. The Regional Manager supports their home leads properly, and they listen when you bring challenges and solutions
This role comes with fully funded specialist training and continuous development, so you can grow into it or pursue qualifications like NVQ level 5 in Leadership and Management. You'll have allocated funding for team building, access to a 24/7 employee assistance programme, eyecare vouchers, free meals on shift, free parking and Blue Light Card access. It's the kind of package that says: we value you, and we want you here long term
