Most Registered Manager roles leave you firefighting between compliance, staffing crises and endless admin. This one is different: you'll lead a small, purposeful two-bed service where trauma-informed care and real relationships with young people actually come first, backed by a team and culture that genuinely has your back. If you're ready to manage with impact rather than just manage the chaos, read on

Picture this: you're running a two-bed home in beautiful countryside where every placement is a 12-week intensive intervention. Young people arrive dysregulated, traumatised, sometimes in crisis. Over those weeks, you and your team give them security, stabilisation, and a taste of what safety feels like. PACE principles guide everything. Education happens. They climb hills, build skills, and leave different. That's the work. That's why people stay in this role

You won't be managing in isolation. The team here is close-knit, friendly and genuinely invested in your success. You get real support, a work/life balance that actually exists (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm), and a company culture that values you as a whole person. Even small touches matter: a day off for your birthday on top of your 28 days leave, a £3,000 annual car allowance, and a bonus structure that can add up to £8,500 more depending on how well you lead

The salary ranges from £48,000 to £55,000 depending on what you bring, plus that car allowance and bonus potential. But the real pull is this: you'll be managing a service small enough that you actually know every young person and can shape their entire experience, but within a provider large enough to give you training, development and real career momentum. Ofsted-ready, trauma-informed, and built on people who actually care

What you will be doing

  • Manage and lead a two-bed residential home, ensuring every young person receives trauma-informed, therapeutic care aligned with PACE principles and legislative best practice
  • Supervise, develop and support your care staff team, with responsibility for recruitment, induction, performance and their ongoing professional development
  • Oversee safeguarding, compliance and regulation, including preparing for and participating in Ofsted inspections and maintaining all required documentation and licensing standards
  • Create and maintain a nurturing, safe physical and emotional environment where young people can stabilise, build independence and access education and outdoor activities
  • Work with placement coordinators, education partners and external agencies to deliver tailored 12-week interventions that meet each young person's needs

Why you will love working here

  • £48,000 to £55,000 salary plus £3,000 car allowance plus up to £8,500 bonus based on achievable KPIs
  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (occasional additional hours only), so you actually have evenings and weekends back
  • 28 days annual leave plus your birthday off as a gift, because work-life balance isn't a phrase here, it's real
  • A small, tight team in a close-knit company where you're supported, developed and valued as a person, not just a manager
  • The chance to lead a therapeutic service where compliance and care aren't in tension - they're the same thing - and where your leadership directly shapes young people's lives over intensive 12-week placements
