Most care homes promise career development but then leave you stuck in the same role year after year, watching managers hired from outside while your talents go unused. This one is different: they're actively funding your Level 5 Leadership qualification and creating a clear path into Registered Manager positions - because they know their best leaders grow from within
Picture yourself leading a small team of carers who genuinely support each other. You're not drowning in paperwork or working thankless split shifts: you're on a 1 day on, 2 days off rota that actually gives you a life outside work. The young people here - aged 8 to 18 - arrive carrying real trauma and struggles. You help them rebuild trust, develop independence, and leave with genuine life skills and confidence they didn't have before. That impact stays with you
The home operates with a trauma-informed, attachment-focused approach. This means your work is grounded in real psychology and evidence, not guesswork. You'll see young people genuinely thrive because the model works. The team culture is built on people actually showing up for each other - not the hollow 'we're a family' rhetoric you hear elsewhere. The provider runs over 60 homes and specialist schools across the UK, so there's genuine infrastructure behind you: proper training, proper support, proper pathways upward
Within the first year you're enrolled on a fully funded Level 5 Leadership and Management programme. Your salary reaches £36,629 plus up to £700 monthly for sleep-in shifts. You get 28 days holiday, access to a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, on-demand GP access, and wellbeing days when you need them. The organisation values people enough to recognise birthdays, offer Blue Light Card discounts, and reward referrals when you bring good people into the team
