Most deputy manager roles in residential care ask you to do a manager's job on a care worker's wage, with no real pathway to lead. This one is different: you'll step into genuine supervisory responsibility, develop your management skills through structured programmes, and earn £14.11 per hour on a rota that works for your life. If you've got adult social care experience and you're ready to move up, read on

Picture this: you're running the daily operations of a home where residents genuinely thrive. You're not just processing paperwork - you're coordinating a team that builds real relationships with the people they support, planning activities that matter to them, and creating a space where vulnerability becomes strength. That's the work you'll do here, every day

Your role is to be the backbone between the Home Manager and the team. You'll conduct inductions and supervisions that actually develop people; run team meetings where staff feel heard; manage the rota so nobody burns out; and support investigations and disciplinaries when they're needed. You'll assess risks for both residents and staff, coordinate care plans that respond to emotional, physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs, and lead by example

The provider has invested heavily in management development. You'll have access to an Advanced Management Development Programme and a Foundation Management Development Programme - real training that prepares you for bigger roles. With over 30 years' track record, among the highest CQC ratings in the sector, and recognition as a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer, this is an organisation that walks the walk on staff development
