Most housekeeping roles in care feel thankless: you're invisible, undervalued, and nobody notices until something's wrong. But here's the truth nobody tells you: the cleanliness and safety you create is the foundation of everything that happens in a care home. This role puts you at the heart of a home where your standards directly improve residents' dignity, comfort and wellbeing every single day

Imagine walking through a home you've made spotless and safe, knowing that every resident benefits from your attention to detail. The residents notice. The visitors notice. The staff know they can rely on you. That's what this housekeeping role offers: the quiet satisfaction of maintaining spaces where vulnerable people feel cared for, respected and at home

You'll be part of a dedicated housekeeping team on the Isle of Wight, working part time with the flexibility that real life demands. Your work ensures CQC compliance, infection prevention, and health and safety standards are met every day. That's not just a job; that's professional responsibility with real impact

What you will be doing

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home, creating a welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff
  • Implement infection prevention and control procedures with precision, keeping the home safe from preventable risks
  • Ensure COSHH and Health and Safety compliance in everything you do, from chemical storage to daily practice
  • Support residents' dignity and privacy while carrying out your duties, treating the home as someone's genuine home, not just a building

Why you will love working here

  • Part time hours that fit your life, with a permanent contract and job security from day one
  • Salary from £12.71 per hour, rewarding your skills and experience in a demanding field
  • Work as part of a established housekeeping team who understand the real value of what you do
  • Be part of a home where your standards directly support CQC compliance and residents' wellbeing every single day

Is this you?

  • Are you experienced in care home, healthcare or hospitality housekeeping? That background gives you the knowledge this role needs
  • Do you understand infection control and COSHH requirements? You know why they matter, not just that they exist
  • Can you work part time with reliability and attention to detail? We're recruiting at least 2 part time team members, so flexible hours that suit your life are built in
  • Do you take pride in creating clean, safe spaces where vulnerable people can feel genuinely cared for?
